Booking Fees

Rates

  • Main Hall: Weekday rate – £19 per hour; Weekend rate – £28 per hour
  • Committee Room: Weekday rate – £13 per hour
  • Weekend Family Gatherings: A £100 deposit is required for weekend hirers for large family gatherings, serving as a cleaning/damage waiver, refundable if no additional cleaning/damage is noted
  • Cancellation Policy: We require a 7-day cancellation notice period, as outlined in the hire agreement

Conditions of Hire

1. The HIRER will, during the period of hiring, be responsible for the supervision of premises, the fabric and the contents, their care, safety from damage (however slight) or change of any sort and the behaviour of all persons using the premises whatever their capacity, including supervision of car parking so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.

2. The HIRER shall not sub-let or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way nor do anything or bring into the premises anything which may endanger the same or any insurance policies in respect thereof, nor allow the consumption of alcohol thereon without written permission.

3. The HIRER shall be responsible for obtaining licences that may be needed, whether for the consumption of intoxicating liquor, from the Performing Rights Society or otherwise and for the observance of the same and all other regulations appertaining to the premises stipulated by the Fire Authority, the Local Authority, the Magistrates or otherwise. All evening functions will end promptly at 11.45 p.m. unless an extension has been granted.

4. The HIRER shall indemnify the committee for the cost of repair or any damage done to any part of the property, including the curtilage, or the contents of the buildings, which occurs during the period of hire and as a result of the hiring.

5. The HIRER, having first obtained the appropriate licences, may use the Committee Room as a bar provided that the floor is cleaned adequately after use.

6. The HIRER will provide any hand towels or tea towels as required.

7. If the HIRER wishes to cancel a confirmed booking and the committee are unable to conclude a replacement booking, the matter of repayment of the whole or part of the fee and deposit shall be at the discretion of the committee.

8. The HIRER shall, at the end of the hiring, be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounds in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secured unless otherwise directed and any contents removed from their usual positions must be properly replaced. All chairs are to be stacked as directed. Tables are to be wiped clean if necessary and stacked in their original positions. Any spillages should be mopped up. All heating, lighting and electrical equipment must be turned off and the hall door locked and the key returned to the Key safe.

9. The COMMITTEE reserves the right to cancel any hiring in the event of the hall being required for use as a polling station for Parliamentary or Local Elections, in which case the hirer shall be entitled to a full refund of monies paid.

10. The COMMITTEE shall not be liable to the hirer for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from any part of the hall being rendered unfit for the use for which is has been hired.
